The secret of the "Maitrank maison" is jealously guarded by the city of Arlon, where everyone has their own recipe. Come and enjoy this delicious drink in Arlon from 26 to 27 May 2012

    Maitrank?

This ambrosial beverage is extracted from sweet woodruff (a flower) soaked in Moselle wine with oranges and other spices.

Every year, the city celebrates its local aperitif, the Maitrank: the seasonal drink that is typical of the region.

During the festivities, folk bands parade across the city. Several tasting stands of Maitrank are set up in the centre of town where a fountain with the famous drink lies, while a show takes place on the Place Leopold.

See below for this year's agenda

Saturday from 5 pm and Sunday from 11 am in the city centre. Free entry
Saturday at 5 pm: inauguration of the Maitrank fountain and free sampling
Music on the Place Leopold and fireworks at the end of the evening

Sunday from 11 am: a great festival of wooden games and street performance
Fair on the plaine des Manoeuvres on both days
